The 16S Real-Time PCR Cycler is a compact and highly versatile qPCR instrument, that combines high-speed PCR amplification with high sensitivity down to single copy detection. The heated lid of the instrument assures highly consistent assay performance.
The 16S Real-Time PCR Cycler is designed to run PCR amplification on 16 samples simultaneously, with volumes of 25 – 120 μl, utilizing common 0.2 ml PCR tubes and 0.2 ml 8-tube strips. The built-in 7”- touch screen combined with the intuitive software design allows for the easy and fast set-up of individual protocols for any application in DNA/RNA analysis. With its compact design, low weight, and whisper quiet operation the 16S Real-Time PCR Cycler provides maximum flexibility for clinical diagnostics and research applications.
Key technology
The 16S Real-Time PCR Cycler features a 16-well heating block, that combines electric resistance heating with high-end Marlow-Peltier TEC elements and extremely accurate PT-1000 temperature control. This provides fast and effective heating and cooling, and highly stable and reliable temperature profiles for your PCR runs. Assay performance is supported further by a heated lid design.
The optical system of the 16S Real-Time PCR Cycler utilizes high intensity LEDs for excitation, with light that is capable of exciting all fluorophores commonly used in qPCR. Fluorescent emissions are detected by a PD light sensor, and the current operational design is calibrated for FAM, VIC & ROX wavelengths.
In collaboration with our customers the 16S Real-Time PCR Cycler can be calibrated for any reporter dyes needed, to make it a truly customized compact, fast and highly flexible qPCR solution.
